چکیده
The construction industry is exposed to more significant risks and unforeseen events than other industries, as projects are often developed under unpredictable circumstances due different factors that must be taken into account during their execution. In addition, delays in the considered one of biggest problems faced by projects, they can lead cost overruns, disputes between parties, project abandonment even lawsuits. objective present study aims increase on-time delivery addressing reasons root causes identified study. innovative proposal avoid introducing a Lean system based on Last Planner System (LPS) methodology, designed support production planning control projects. proposed model was validated using pilot plan tracks greenways carried out Lima, obtaining; result, decrease 8% time with respect initial deadline, an 22% percentage completed 5% stoppages rework. research confirms success lean philosophy its powerful tools, such LPS, which will serve reference for application companies similar characteristics.

Operations Management on the Construction Site – Developing a Human Resource and Knowledge Oriented Alternative to Lean Construction
In these years lean construction approaches is flourishing in Danish building projects. The Koskela (2000) concepts such as the TFV-perspectives (Transformation, Flow, Value) and the last planner (Ballard 2000) are directly used in attempts to rationalize building processes. One can receive this as a refreshing renewal and improvement of practical operations management at the site. However this...
متن کاملAn integrated simulation-DEA approach to multi-criteria ranking of scenarios for execution of operations in a construction project
The purpose of this study is to examine different scenarios for implementing operations in the pre-construction phase of a project, based on several competing criteria with different importance levels in order to achieve a more efficient execution plan. This paper presents a new framework that integrates discrete event simulation (DES) and data envelopment analysis (DEA) to rank different scena...

Purpose – The purpose of this paper is to explore if six sigma and lean are new methods, or if they are repackaged versions of previously popular methods – total quality management (TQM) and just-in-time (JIT). Design/methodology/approach – The study is based on a critical comparison of lean with JIT and six sigma with TQM, a study of the measure of the publication frequency – the number of aca...
متن کاملA fuzzy group decision making approach to construction project risk management
Implementation of the risk management concepts into construction practice may enhance the performance of project by taking appropriate response actions against identified risks. This research proposes a multi-criteria group decision making approach for the evaluation of different alternative response scenarios. To take into account the uncertainties inherent in evaluation process, fuzzy logic i...
